Pain is a mechanism of defense of the body for the purpose of preventing tissue damage. This sensation is a means of protection and accompanies the evolution of the human being from the very beginning of its history.Medical science, on the other hand, has evolved and advanced searching for resources that enable relieving or diminishing the suffering caused by pain.Persistent pain affecting the region of the neck and low back pain are chronic forms that usually affect individuals at some point of their lives. The lifetime prevalence of neck pain reaches levels around 70%, while lower back pain is the most common cause of disability in individuals younger than 45.The causes of neck and back pain are related with all the structures that make up the anatomy of these two regions: bones, joints, muscles, intervertebral discs, nerve roots or neighboring viscera.The purpose of this work is to review the anatomy, pathogenesis and major disorders capable of causing cervical and low back pain.

Wasn't what I had hoped for, more for those with a medical background. Wouldn't advise people to buy this book.
